Everyone is filled with so many talents and this Utsav Month, we celebrated “Nakshatrā – Talent Festival of WinVinaya” with a special focus on the Deaf community. The event was a great success.

The event began with a splendid Bharatanatyam performance by one of our Alumni, Anmol Pal who is a M.Com graduate and pursuing a Diploma in Bharatanatyam.

We also had several talented students from TEACH, Mumbai who showed us how to make creative handmade crafts like Zia Kasmani, and Pankaj Shelar, artworks by Ateef Khan, and a display of relevant presentations and videos by Akshay Bhatnagar and Aamir Lulia respectively.

Vignesh MJ, another alumnus who is currently working at a big MNC also showcased his creative side – Photography. You can follow, check out his photography skills on Instagram – @mjv_photography

Post this, we had another elegant dance performance by another alumnus, Rajeshwari who is a student at NISH, Thiruvananthapuram.

Thanks to the artistic and expressive Benin George, Gayathri M, and Akhil Sakella, we learned and become aware of the deaf community, deaf culture, and the sign culture and voila… also learned the basics of sign language in a very interactive and creative way!!!

To conclude, we all felt one emotion same as Benjamin Franklin, when he told – “Hide not your talents, they for use were made, What’s a sundial in the shade?”
