“Celebrating Abilities 2.0”
“Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future”
– John F. Kennedy
Children, the ambassadors of change for a better tomorrow hold the key to a bright and inclusive future. It is our responsibility to inspire and motivate these young minds and guide them on the right path while their lives are taking shape.
We at WinVinaya want to take the mission of enabling an inclusive society to these bright minds who will be the citizens of tomorrow and motivate them to celebrate life by celebrating the successes and abilities of those around us!
We started off this initiative with the 12th-grade students of the School of India and the experience was just amazing! We discussed a lot, starting from the accepted terminologies to address Persons with Disabilities, a brief about various disabilities, to learning the basics of Indian Sign Language, and the students taking an oath to be inclusive, it was a fun-filled and impactful day!
We believe that this initiative of educating children in schools and colleges about disability, diversity, and inclusion, who in the future may be colleagues, co-workers, leaders, friends, and facilitators for Persons with Disabilities will definitely create a happy, inclusive and better tomorrow.
We look forward to reaching out to around 1000 youth and sensitizing them about Disability, Diversity, and Inclusion. We will be conducting many such sessions with the School of India. Join us in expanding this impact! Talk to your school, college or if you know any schools or colleges who would be interested, connect us through email (info@WinVinayaFoundation.org). If you are a school/college interested in this program, to know more, feel free to reach out to us. Together we can!
Do take a look at a few photos from the sensitization session!
